	The great British summer threw up some challenging conditions for the competitors at Donington Park. Heavy downpours threatened to postpone the action at one stage but the weather eventually improve sufficiently to permit racing to take place.

2006 Elf Renault Clio Cup

The performances of Tom Onslow-Cole not only gave him the drivers title but they also went some way to alerting the touring car world of his talent. At just 19 years old, Tom has secured a top BTCC drive with WSR in an s2000 spec BMW 320si. It was also the year that saw the last action of the Clio 182. 2007 will see an entire new line up of the latest Clio hot hatch model from Renault – the 197.
